Performance Highlights

The performance management team is happy to celebrate state-wide successes in customer service, process improvement, and employee engagement:

  • Colorado’s Performance Management Academy has been named a “Bright Idea in Government” by Harvard’s AshCenter
  • Congrats to our Elevation Awardees: ColoradoDOT for their work on the I-70 express lane project & CDPHE for their work in improving immunization data exchange used by healthcare clinics, schools and childcare centers to interface with the State’s immunization registry.
  • To cut the burden of government regulations, Departments are now required to engage stakeholders early in the process prior to any formal rulemaking.  The next phase of regulatory reform will ensure that all Departments cut the burden to comply with a regulation or requirement in a measurable way, savings estimated at $7 million and 250,000 hours for FY17.
  • Through a variety of initiatives, average Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) wait times decreased from more than 40 minutes to less than 20 minutes.  By 2018, our goal is for 80% of walk-in customers to the DMV to be served in less than 15 minutes, and almost all customers with appointments to be served in that timeframe as well.
