About Us

The Governor’s Office of Operations oversees statewide operations and ensures compliance with Colorado’s State Measurement for Accountable, Responsive, and Transparent Government (SMART) Act, which charges the Governor’s Office with establishing a holistic performance management system for the Executive Branch, inclusive of continuous process improvement and professional development. The Office collaborates with Executive Branch agencies to define priority objectives, set annual goals, and identify strategies to achieve the Administration's bold agenda. The team assists State agencies with process improvement projects, data management, and the implementation of professional development programs to ensure that all state employees have the tools to succeed.

Additionally, the Governor's Office of Operations supports delivery on a range of cross-functional initiatives aimed at improving outcomes for Coloradans, including the implementation of Universal Preschool, improved benefit payment timeliness, and shorter permit processing times. Most recently, the Governor's Office released the Roadmap to Reduce Auto Insurance Premiums, in partnership with the Department of Transportation, Department of Public Safety, the Division of Insurance, and the DMV. You can learn more about this effort by visiting the webpage or check back here for future updates on other initiatives!
